Tain based Highland Fine Cheese have been manufacturing traditional cheeses unique to the Highlands and Islands of Scotland since 1951.
Highland Fine Cheeses now produce some of Scotland’s most recognisable cheeses including Tain Cheddar and Strathdon Blue which holds the 65th position on the list of the world’s top cheeses.
Rory Stone runs the company from a converted brewery near Tain in Ross-shire and in order to support local farmers, sources the cow’s milk for the cheese from a local co-operative. Herds include the Holstein-Friesian breed.
