In 2005, HRH The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay launched Mey Selections to foster closer connections between farmers, fine food producers and customers, helping to maintain a balanced way of life in the Highlands of Scotland.

It was his vision that the initiative would help to integrate three vital elements of life in the North of Scotland – namely farming, sustainable tourism and the built environment.

It is an area of incomparable beauty but also one where people have to work harder than many to sustain local economies and fragile rural communities.

Since its launch in 2005, farmers, other local food producers, tourism businesses and supporters of the area’s astonishingly rich built heritage have all worked to make a difference for the better.

All Mey Selections produce originates from within 150 miles of the Castle of Mey and the brand is a celebration of the rich history, quality and commitment of producers involved.
